BECU's $100 Signup and Referral Bonuses

Over the past few years, there have been a handful of bank and credit union referral promotions circulating around referral world, such as Chase, Chime, MoneyLion, Upgrade, SoFi and Varo. There's another great banking promotion that not many know about, and I've confirmed that they renewed the promotion for 2023. It's a Washington-based credit union called BECU - Boeing Employees Credit Union - and through 12/31/23, they're offering $100 signup and referral bonuses (up to 5 referrals per year). This isn't the quickest payout as your account must be open and in good standing for 90 days before you get the bonus, but there is no minimum deposit or spend requirement, and there's no direct deposit requirement.
Instructions to get your bonus:
Open a BECU Member Share or Member Advantage savings and also a checking account.
Sign up online, by phone - 206-439-5700 - or at a BECU Branch and keep acct. opened for 90 days. You must use both these codes when signing up:

You must perform 10 of the following transactions within the first 30 days of opening acct :
Make a purchase using your BECU debit or credit card (easy with grocery store self-checkout!)
Write a check or electronic check.
Make a payment using bill pay.

Hopper On!

As I write this edition of RWN, I'm sitting in my nearly-free hotel room, thanks to Hopper! And this isn't the first time... Back in early December, I saved nearly $800 on a 3-night hotel stay in Richmond, VA. Great memories made then, and great memories in the making now. Those of you who are friends with me on FB will be seeing pics of both trips very soon.
If you haven't signed up for Hopper, yet, I highly recommend it. You'll get an instant $25 signup bonus, and you only need to provide your name, phone number and email. Hopper also offers instant $25 referral bonuses for your first 20 referrals, which are issued as hotel credits toward your hotel stay.... After your first 20 referrals, you'll get an even higher $50 referral bonuses for each signup who books their first hotel stay. And these $50 bonuses can be used for any form of travel the app offers (hotel stays, booking flights, rental cars, etc.)!
The really great thing about this Hopper promotion: these bonuses STACK, making your hotel stay close to free (if not free)! No other travel app does this. I've already saved over $1,200 in the few short months I've been referring it. I can't recommend Hopper highly enough!
DCU Lowers Signup and Referral Bonuses

Thanks to RWN reader, Heather G. for the heads up on this one: DCU lowered their signup and referral bonus promotions. For the past few months, DCU offered $100 signup bonuses and unlimited $50 referral bonuses. They have lowered both bonuses, and are now offering $20 signup bonuses and unlimited $10 referral bonuses.
While it's still a decent promotion - especially the unlimited earnings portion - the bonuses are considerably lower. I would recommend waiting until their next $100/$50 promotion, but based on history, they may not be offering those again until toward the end of 2023.

TEMU Made the Super Bowl!
Did you catch the TEMU ad during the Super Bowl? If you've been keeping up with TEMU, they've done incredibly well the past several months, thanks to Referral World. Since the Super Bowl ad, several TEMU members have noticed that their referral bonuses, games, etc., are more difficult to achieve. Hopefully this new trend doesn't continue.

If you've read any of my RWN posts, you already know how great Webull is, and how generous they are with their signup and referral bonuses. You already know that I've earned nearly $11,000 in FREE stocks, including $3,000 in Tesla stocks from a single referral bonus. You may already have Webull. What you may not know, though, is that Webull allows people to have TWO accounts! Each person can have a CASH account and also a BROKERAGE account. And from my understanding, you get the signup bonuses for both accounts. 2/21 UPDATE: This turns out to no longer be the case. I confirmed with Webull that they only allow one account per SSN as being a "new member".
