Testmarket's New Promo (and What Nobody's Telling You)!
Testmarket Analytics, the app that went viral in Referral World a few weeks back, just started another supposedly great promotion: $5 referrals, with a $500 bonus if you refer 25 people. In the email they sent to members today, they don't even mention an expiration date this time around. If this were any legit promotion, I'd be jumping on this and encouraging others to do the same. If you read my article on 11/19, you already know the reason why I'm not (seemingly shady business practices, illegally buying fake 5-star reviews and threatening to disable accounts if anything other than a glowing review was given, raising the minimum cash-out to $200 immediately after ending their last "refer 25 and get $150" 10-day promotion).
Let me emphasize that last part: Testmarket set a 10,000 coin ($200) minimum requirement before you can convert your earnings from coins to dollars and cash out. And this was their third increase in just a couple of weeks. First, it was a $1 minimum requirement, then $10, then $20, and immediately concluding their "refer 25 and get $150" promo, they raised it again to $200 (10,000 coins). Who's to say they won't raise the minimum to, say, $750 immediately after this promotion ends?
What's equally suspect is Testmarket's endgame. As I write this article, Testmarket has 244 pages full of products you can supposedly buy in their "Special Discounts" section. However, all but 3 products have "0 Left", meaning they're actually selling a total of 3 items. Supposedly, items restock at 7 am EST (or "ETS" as is listed on their site).
Then, they have a "Deals" section, which looks to be nothing more than a list of products on Amazon, eBay, Etsy, etc. None of the prices mentioned on Testmarket's site matched the actual price of the products when clicking them. Perhaps this is due to it being Cyber Monday, but regardless, it tells me that these are manually entered products and prices, not something being pulled from the sites in real time, or at least not being pulled correctly.
While I don't know what the Testmarket's endgame is, I do know that:
1) They require your email, phone number, a screenshot of your US ID, and a selfie when you sign up;
2) They offered bonuses and then raised their minimum coin-convert limit, resulting in people not being able to cash out.
One last thing: Many - and hopefully all - referrers now know about the $200 minimum requirement, as it's been in place for a week. But I've seen several posts from referrers who are leaving this requirement out as they promote "INSTANT $5 bonuses.... sign up and cash out!" and similar scripts. If you aren't already, make sure you're asking what the fine print is for any app that sounds too good to be true. Otherwise, in cases like Testmarket, you'll sign up and be stuck with $5 that you can't do anything with except to lure others in using similar "lies of omission" tactics. 
While I was able to cash out $12 in the beginning - before they instilled the minimum requirements - I will not be promoting Testmarket.
Cyber Monday Deals, Gift Cards, and $5 Bonuses (Oh, My)!
Happy Cyber Monday! If you are shopping today, I have a few tips that may help you not only keep money in your wallet but even add to it!
Slickdeals!
Long before I entered Referral World, I was a deal hunter. I have often described myself as "living like a prince on a pauper's budget." One of my top resources for scoring deals is scouring slickdeals.net. This is a community-driven forum and site where anyone and everyone posts deals they come across, and they also give thumbs up/down ratings to aid in determining the great deals from the "meh" deals. Anything and everything from Bob posting, "$2 off diapers at Safeway," to Mary posting, "HURRY... iPhone 15 Pro Max price mistake on Apple's website, selling for $10!" Over the years, I've paid next to nothing to purchase products and have even been paid to purchase them after discounts and rebates!
Hot tip: Slickdeals' landing page goes to the "Front Page," where staff highlights the best deals shared in the forums. But oftentimes, deals may sell out before even hitting this page. I highly recommend bookmarking this page instead, which you can keep a closer eye on for deals as they're posted.
Over the weekend and this morning, I knocked most of my big-ticket holiday-shopping gifts off my list!
Gift Card Bonuses and CashBack!
Speaking of great deals, here's one I found this morning: "Kroger: $50 Retailer Choice eGift Cards + $7.50 Bonus Credit (Digital Delivery) $50 & More (+4X fuel points)". There are several gift card options, and you can even sweeten the deal by referring others to score the same deal and earning $5 per referral when they purchase their first gift card (up to $25)! Here are the instructions:
1) Sign up for an account on Kroger's gift cards site using this link.
2) Once you complete step 1, you can view the available gift card options here.
3) Order the desired e-gift card and wait to receive it in your inbox (it can take up to 4 hours to receive according to their "Contact Us" page).
4) Redeem your e-gift card(s) once received.
5) Grab your referral link and refer others to earn your $5 referral bonuses.
And don't stop there! Make sure you use cashback sites to earn cash back when you make your purchase(s)! Here's what I'm doing today to buy a Christmas gift for my dad, as an example:
1) I bought $200 in Lowe's gift cards and got a $30 bonus from the Kroger's gift card site.
2) I'm using RetailMeNot's cashback portal to earn 12% off my Lowe's purchase (up to $50 in cashback)
3) I'm making a $230 purchase using the gift cards I bought and will get $27.60 back from RetailMeNot!
$30 + $27.60 in savings + up to $25 in referral bonuses. That's over $80 in savings and earnings!

The Bonuses are Back in Town!
While there have always been some great signup and referral bonus opportunities in Referral World, there was a dry spell, even a "ghost town" period that began in 2022 and carried well into 2023. Before this, it seemed like there was a new app/opportunity weekly, and oftentimes daily. Not only did that slow down considerably, but many of those new bonuses ended, with several of the apps shutting down, themselves.
I'm happy to report that there's been what feels like a Referral Renaissance, as I've seen dozens of new and returning apps and opportunities hit Referral World this past 1-2 months.
