India has implemented several laws to address and prevent women abuse and harassment. Here are some key legislations related to women's rights and protection against abuse and harassment in India:

1. Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005: This act aims to protect women from domestic violence and provides for the prevention and redressal of domestic violence. It defines various forms of abuse and provides for the issuance of protection orders, residence orders, and other remedies.

2. Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition, and Redressal) Act, 2013: This act is designed to prevent and address sexual harassment of women in the workplace. It requires employers to establish Internal Complaints Committees (ICCs) to receive and investigate complaints of sexual harassment and provides for penalties in case of non-compliance.

3. Indian Penal Code (IPC), Section 354: This section of the IPC deals with offenses such as assault or criminal force on a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty. It provides for imprisonment and/or fine for the offender.

4. IPC, Section 509: This section addresses the offense of word, gesture, or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman. It imposes penalties on those who commit acts to insult or outrage the modesty of a woman.

5. IPC, Section 376: This section covers the offense of rape, which is a heinous crime against women. It defines rape and prescribes severe punishments for the offenders, including imprisonment for a term ranging from seven years to life imprisonment.

6. Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961: This act prohibits the giving or taking of dowry in connection with marriage. It aims to prevent the dowry system, which often leads to harassment and abuse of women.

7. Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986: This act prohibits the depiction of women in an indecent or derogatory manner in advertisements, publications, or other media forms.

8. The Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013: This act was introduced in response to the Nirbhaya case and brought several amendments to the IPC and other laws to strengthen the legal framework for addressing crimes against women. It introduced new offenses, enhanced punishments for certain crimes, and improved the provisions related to investigation and prosecution of such offenses.

These are some of the important laws related to women's rights and protection against abuse and harassment in India. It's essential to consult the complete texts of these laws and seek legal advice to understand their provisions and implications fully.
