By far diet is key to overall health.. but as we have learned over the years even the best foods can't meet our needs today. Whether it's absorbtion or genetic issues we all need additional supplements for our overall health. There's a reason we are seeing skyrocketing issues with autoimmune diseases in our country. Many today are bombarded with toxins in our food, air, water.. and quite possibly in the vaccines.
For Goose and I here are our must have daily supplements:
Ashwaganda: To help lower cortisol and stress levels.
Maca: Helps counter act all the false estrogens we are bombarded with today.
Vitamin D: Can't emphasize enough how important vitamin D supplements are. And keep in mind routine blood work doesn't check vitamin levels. You could be seriously deficient in vitamin D and not be aware until you have complications. Especially if you are dark complected or have a genetic condition.
Calcium: Key to bone health.
Magnesium: Key for vitamin D absorbtion.
B Methyl folate: Many.. many people today carry genes that don't allow them to process folic acid. Causing a wide variety of health issues, including memory issues and brain fog. We take a daily methyl folate vit B and it makes a world of difference in our overall health.
In addition to daily vitamins we also do regular parasite cleanses. Sound crazy? Our grandparents didn't think so. And neither do the populations of many, many other countries. In the US we've gotten away from the practice of parasite cleanses. RFK was mocked for sharing his documented account of brain parasites (commonly from pork). If you have dogs, farm animals, have ever eaten pork or shaken hands with anyone who has.. an annual herbal parasite cleanse is definitely worth considering. As a good friend pointed out there's a reason the Bible tells all followers of the Father to eat bitter herbs annually at Passover. All through the bible wormwood is mentioned. A bitter herb that kills parasites.
In addition to parasite cleanses fermented foods are key for us. Another tradition that has been lost in the US. From biblical times where all bread was sourdough to today in most all healthy counties fermented foods were a staple in the diet. And key to overall health.
