Prologue of My New Book "Black, White and Love"

Hi friends!

I’m thrilled to share the prologue of my new book with you. It’s a heartfelt story about Lina — her love, her heartbreak, and her inner strength. Every moment of her journey is filled with emotions, and I hope it resonates with you just as deeply as it did with me while writing it.

The prologue begins with a revelation that changes everything for Lina...

Prologue: When the World Falls Apart

Lina heard Greg’s words, but she didn’t understand them at first. They sounded too calm, too casual, as if he were merely mentioning he’d forgotten to turn off the bathroom light.

“I have another woman, and I love her,” he said.

The words hung in the air like an axe, ready to fall. The warm summer evening outside ceased to exist, replaced by a sudden chill that ran down Lina’s spine in icy waves.

“What’s her name?” she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.

“Sarah,” he answered briefly, as if that name explained everything.

Sarah. The name echoed inside her like the shattering of glass. It reverberated through her thoughts, growing into a tidal wave of questions: “How could this happen? What about our daughter? Our eight years of marriage? Our vows before God?”

She swallowed, her throat dry.

“Is she a believer too?” Lina continued, marveling at how evenly her voice came out, despite her heart pounding wildly inside her chest.

“No, she doesn’t go to church,” Greg said with a slight shrug, as if it didn’t matter.

Lina clenched her fists to stop the trembling in her fingers. Greg had always considered faith a cornerstone of their lives. How could he say this so casually?

“And what do you have in common?” she asked, stepping closer.

Greg averted his gaze, as if searching for salvation somewhere beyond the room.

“Music,” he said.

Music. One word, and Lina felt something inside her break. Greg lived for music—his guitar, his rehearsals with the church choir. Her thoughts raced: “Was I never more important than this?”

She stepped closer, locking her eyes on his.

“Tell me one thing,” her voice turned hoarse. “What does Sarah have that I don’t?”

Now he looked straight at her. There was freedom in his eyes, but not the kind that brings joy. It was the freedom of someone who had unburdened themselves.

“She loves me,” he said. “The real me. Without Leo’s shadow.”

The name he spoke was like a dagger, splitting her in two. Leo.

Lina froze. Her entire life—her home, their daughter, their faith—suddenly became a backdrop for another name. For a man she had long locked away in the drawer of her past.

“I can’t fight him anymore,” Greg continued. “His shadow has always been between us.”

She didn’t remember how she ended up by the door. The world around her was a blur. Her world had collapsed, leaving her standing amidst the ruins, not knowing how to go on.

Music to Set the Mood
To fully immerse yourself in the atmosphere of this story, I’ve chosen a piece of music that perfectly complements the emotions of this prologue.
