Trusting my Guide has Transformed my Inner World

Jan 03, 2025

I’ve been reflecting on this past year—specifically, what it’s been like to move a few hours away from my adult daughter, my parents, and everything I knew. Let me tell you, it’s been a whirlwind of emotions and a big leap of faith. But whenever I feel overwhelmed, I pause and be still, tuning in to that gentle nudge from God that says, “This is the path. Trust me.”

Each time I choose to let go of my worries and truly follow His lead, I find myself on a whole new adventure—one filled with peace, calm, and, yes, some pretty surprising opportunities. Friendships and growth have blossomed in ways I never expected, and I firmly believe these synchronicities are breadcrumbs guiding me in the right direction.

I’ve learned that having a “guiding north star” is vital—something you rely on when chaos inevitably creeps into life. For me, that north star is my faith in God (Spirit, Mother Nature - choose the word that resonates with you ... this is not about religion it is about us, human people), coupled with the commitment to the priorities and values closest to my heart.

When I cling to that, I show up as a better person, radiating light wherever I go, regardless of what’s happening around me. It’s taken me over 40 years to find this groove, so if you’re feeling behind, please don’t be hard on yourself. Your time is coming, and it may just be one new choice, one moment of stillness, away.

Was this move to the North Country a shock? Oh, absolutely—let’s be real. The quiet, the snow-capped mountains, the slower pace... it’s all new and a bit disorienting. But my soul feels at peace here, and every time I settle into that stillness, new doors open—ones I never dreamed possible—in friendships, business, and simple day-to-day joys. What a reminder that sometimes the boldest leaps lead to the calmest paths.

A Few Tips to Stay on the Path and Trust Your Guide:

  1. Create a Quiet Routine
Whether it’s first thing in the morning or at the end of the day, carve out a few minutes to sit in silence. Take a deep breath and listen for that gentle nudge. You’d be amazed at how much clarity comes when you just be.

  2. Keep Your Core Values Front and Center
Write them down if you have to. These values act like your personal compass whenever life feels chaotic. If a decision doesn’t align with what you hold dear, that’s your sign to pause and rethink.

  3. Practice Letting Go
Surrender is not always easy (trust me, I know), but each time you release your grip on worry, you make room for new possibilities. A simple prayer or even a heartfelt exhale can shift your mindset instantly.

  4. Look for the Synchronicities
The more you trust, the more little “coincidences” you’ll notice. A friend calling out of the blue, a job opportunity popping up at the perfect time, or even a chance encounter that shifts your perspective—these are often signs you’re on the right path.

  5. Celebrate Small Wins
Did you manage five minutes of stillness today? Throw a mini party in your soul. Recognize and honor every little step you take toward a more peaceful, faith-filled life.

So, my friend, stay the path. Keep believing that your Guide—however you define that sacred presence—is working behind the scenes. Wherever you find yourself, let your north star direct you, and allow faith to hold you steady when life starts spinning. If it can happen for me after all these years, it can definitely happen for you.

Thank you for spending a bit of your time with me here. I pray that in your stillness, you discover the calm and clarity you need. Remember, you are not alone, and you can become better—one quiet moment, one trusting decision at a time.

Sending you love and light, always. ✨
