Silence is Strength 💟🙏🤷‍♀️

Today, I want to discuss something that’s been on my heart: finding your life’s purpose. I’m only speaking from my own experience here, but I hope it resonates with you and that you find a little nugget of wisdom to tuck away.

So, how do we figure out why we’re here, exactly? I’m not talking about the day-to-day hustle (though that’s important, too), but that big “Why” in your soul that moves you, drives you, and lights up your spirit.

Here’s the first step I’d suggest: Find time to sit in silence—yes, as simple (and simultaneously challenging) as that sounds. Why silence? Because in the quiet moments, you can actually hear the gentle nudges from that inner voice or divine guidance that knows best. Maybe you call it God, maybe you call it your intuition. Either way, the important thing is to get still, even if it’s just for a few minutes.

Think about it this way: We spend so much time online, scrolling, texting, connecting with the world. It’s a blessing, of course, but it can also be a major distraction. We rarely allow ourselves to sit, unplugged, and simply be. But that’s where the breakthroughs happen, my friends. That’s when the lightbulb moments appear out of nowhere or the whisper in your heart gently points you in a direction you didn’t see coming.

Tips for finding time in silence:

  1. Set a timer for just five minutes. Start small. You can work your way up, but right now, just try five minutes.

  2. Close your eyes and breathe. Notice your breath, the rise and fall of your chest, the sound of your inhale and exhale.

  3. Let your thoughts come and go without judgment. You don’t have to force your mind to go blank. Just be. If your mind drifts to your to-do list or dinner plans, gently bring it back to your breath.

  4. Check in with yourself: Ask, “What do I need to hear right now?” or “Is there something I’m missing?” Don’t try to answer it immediately—just hold the question gently and see if something bubbles up.

Trust me, when you give yourself this sacred space in silence, you’ll start to tap into a deeper well of wisdom that’s always within you. It may take time and practice, but it’s worth every moment.

It’s in these quiet moments that you might realize the path you thought you wanted isn’t actually aligned with your passion or purpose anymore. Or maybe you’ll get an inspired idea, a nudge to take a step in a completely new direction. #habitsofhealthcoach #mindbodysoul

I can’t promise that your entire life’s purpose will become crystal-clear on the first try, but I can promise that starting with silence will open your ears and your heart to what’s next. So give yourself that gift of stillness as often as you can. You’ll be amazed at what you discover.
