A little about me...

A little about me...

Apr 25, 2022

My name is Brandon Stocking. I have a full time job, but am also a digital artist. My wife and I have been married since 2014 and we have two kids. We live in Vacaville, CA.

I've always loved to draw, but in 2016 I really wanted to learn comic-book style art. I started painting digitally and enjoyed it, but my art took a major change in 2019. When my youngest daughter was born, I took several weeks off and was admittedly bored out of my mind! I was actually watching old X-Men cartoons when I started wondering how hard animation would be. I went down a rabbit hole and discovered the world of 3D art. I started using Blender - an awesome and free 3D software program.

I set up my WEBSITE to share some of my art. I was drawn to science fiction and abstract social commentary. Yes, I admit some of my work has been inspired by BEEPLE but also many others. I'm always experimenting and always learning. I'm first and foremost a fan of those who put today's amazing technology to work in order to create digital works that were previously impossible.

Blender is an awesome tool with an awesome community surrounding it. There are endless tutorials on YouTube for Blender. But I soon realized that not all of them were great. While I'm sure the creators had good intentions, their videos were often poor in quality and they lacked the basic understanding of how to teach.

So, I tried my hand at making a better tutorial. Even though I was scared to death, I put it on YouTube. Then I made another one, and another one... I really tried to incorporate feedback I received and I want to make the best Blender tutorials possible. I have so many other areas I'd like to create content around, but with my full time job, I know I can only take on so much.

That's where Buy Me A Coffee comes in. I put a lot of time into tutorials because I do enjoy making them and helping others learn. But, that time is time away from my family and away from my art. Turning it into a way of paying the bills is the ultimate goal. So, any support that you can provide helps me keep doing what I can to make these tutorials and art.

Whether it's out of the kindness of your heart, as a "tip" in the jar or to access some of the posts I'll share exclusively with my supporters - it's all VERY appreciated. Thank you so much for your support and always feel free to reach out or connect on social media!
