Ask Ben About Autism

Ask Ben About Autism is a digital book written by Ben when he was 14 years old. Now a young autistic adult, musician, and autism advocate, Ben shares answers to many of the questions families have asked him about his own autism.

Over the years, parents and grandparents of autistic children have reached out to Ben hoping to better understand the children in their lives — especially those who are younger, newly diagnosed, or not yet able to explain what they are experiencing.

In this book, Ben offers personal insight into topics such as sensory challenges, routines, stimming, communication, and what helped him along the way. His hope is that by sharing his perspective, others will better understand the “why” behind some autistic behaviors and be able to offer more patience, support, and understanding.
