Every camouflage colour you see here started with the same small set of artist's acrylic paints.
From those few colours I've mixed RAF Dark Earth, Dark Green, Sky, Middle Stone, Azure Blue, DuPont camouflage colours and more—each one adjusted to suit a particular aircraft and period.
For me, mixing my own colours isn't about making life harder. It's about understanding the colour and being able to reproduce it consistently across different projects.
So I'm curious...
How do you approach painting your models?
🎨 Do you enjoy mixing your own colours?
🖌️ Do you prefer matched hobby paints straight from the bottle?
🔬 Or are you somewhere in between?

I'd genuinely be interested to hear how other modellers approach it.
There's no right answer—I'm always interested in seeing how other modellers tackle the same problem.
