Most of my week looks like this: Claude Code is halfway through a task, it stops to ask me something, and I don't notice for four minutes because I'm in a different window. Multiply that by a day and it's a real tax.
So I built notch-911. It runs in the background, watches for Claude Code or Codex asking for input, and expands your MacBook notch into a small overlay right on top of whatever you're doing. You answer, hit send, it collapses. That's the whole app — native Swift, smooth animations, no settings screen to get lost in.
The part that wasn't in the pitch
Claude Code was easy: a hook pointed at a local server. Codex was not.
Command-only hooks — needed a shipped script bridging stdin to a loopback HTTP call
Fail-open on exit 0 — a crash should never block your agent
No hook event for plan or multiple-choice prompts — so it watches the terminal through the macOS Accessibility API
A local signing identity — otherwise the Accessibility grant dies on every rebuild
