It's important to maintain an active dating life, even when you're in a committed relationship. During the holiday season, there are plenty of ideas for keeping the fun and romance alive. If you are looking for ways to spice up your dating life with your partner, these tried and true ideas will keep the flame burning and the holiday spirit going strong.

Visit a Pumpkin Patch

This date idea is generally low cost, sometimes free, and allows you and your partner to connect while choosing a pumpkin together. Step up your game by carving and/or painting the pumpkin after you've picked the perfect one.

Have a Festive Photoshoot

If you don't have the budget to hire a professional photographer, ask a friend or family member to snap some shots of you and your partner. They don't have to be fancy. Dress up in your most festive seasonal attire, smile, and most importantly, have fun! You'll create lifetime memories that you can look back on years down the road.

Volunteer/Feed the Homeless

Sometimes it takes doing things for other people to realize how good you have it. Spending time volunteering with your partner helps you recognize the good in your life while also creating a bonding opportunity. Giving back is the ultimate way to celebrate the holiday season.

Decorate the Christmas Tree

Fetch all those Christmas decorations out of the storage closet and decorate the tree with your partner. Play some Christmas music in the background and talk about what you want Santa to leave you beneath the tree.

Take a Cooking Class

With all the delicious flavors the holiday season brings, a cooking class is sure to arouse your senses (and maybe your partner, too). Cooking together can be a very intimate experience and you'll likely learn how to make something you haven't made before.

Do Karaoke to Holiday Songs

It can be scary singing in front of people, but nobody expects you to be Kelly Clarkson during karaoke. Choose your favorite holiday tune(s) and sing like you're a contestant on American Idol. Your partner will be delighted just to watch you perform, regardless of how talented you are (or aren't). Or, a great song choice for couples is a duet, like "Baby, It's Cold Outside." If you brave the stage together, the experience will be less frightening and much more memorable.

Visit a Haunted House

If you enjoy being spooked, a haunted house can be a fun date night. Hold your partner's hand tightly and hopefully, you'll come out unscathed. This is a great way to not only show your partner support if they are scared but also give you something to talk about on the way home.

Decorate a Gingerbread House

Bring out your childlike side by decorating a gingerbread house together. You can find kits that have everything you need, or build your own and choose the toppings you want to use. Once it's complete, give yourself permission to indulge and eat your tasty artistic creation.

Go Through a Corn Maze

Nothing creates more trust than going through a corn maze with your partner. Sticking together is what's important, and navigating a corn maze is a great way to work as a team. This will strengthen your relationship and help you figure out just how bad you are with directions.

Attend a Holiday Concert

If you don't like taking the stage, you might enjoy listening to other people sing. There are tons of holiday concerts to attend, and by checking one out, you might discover a new artist or band that you really like.

Go Ice Skating

Bundle up and hit the skating rink with your partner. If you haven't been ice skating before, it's a fun way to learn with someone by your side. If you're a pro, it's a chance to show off your mad skating skills and impress your partner. Either way, it's a win-win!
