A couple of months ago, I got really into book bedazzling and once you start bedazzling, you basically want to bedazzle everything that you own. I had an old jean jacket in my closet that needed some love, so I printed out an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe on iron-on transfer paper, ironed it onto my jacket, and bedazzled it. It’s now one of my favorite items in my wardrobe!
Many people in my family have started to bedazzle items and it’s a great way to customize a gift for someone. My mom has bedazzled many a book that she has gifted to a loved one.
Bedazzling can be done on many different kinds of surfaces. You could bedazzle a favorite book, clothing, artwork, cards, etc. The steps are pretty simple and all you need are a few basic supplies. Many sites sell bedazzling kits that contain all of the things to help get you started.
A big “thank you” to the generous viewer who donated the supplies from this Art Supply Wish List! I put the bedazzling supplies on my list as a “maybe this could be a fun project” item and they were funded almost instantly. I love that someone out there had an interest!
Happy bedazzling!
PS. Speaking of customizations… I think I want to customize my jacket even more. Perhaps some Catholic embroidery? 😉 Stay tuned!
