Hi everyone. Just wanted to say a huge thanks for your generous donations. I raised £667, which essentially paid all the fuel costs for my journey from Scotland to Lviv with the orthotic equipment. The money also put a huge dent in the cost of replacing my driver-side window that got smashed in Lille.
I really enjoy taking time out to volunteer in Ukraine. I know a lot of you would like to do something to help, but not everyone has the freedom and flexibility that I do to go help in person - but, I genuinely couldn’t do it without your support.
Everyone who donated should feel credited in delivering the orthotics, we did it as a team, and thanks to you, a couple of hundred soldiers and civilians will receive care for life-changing injuries caused by Russia’s war.
I continued for another three days to reach the town of Kramatorsk, where I’ll be based. This time round I’m keen to focus on military aid over civilian aid. Helping the military ultimately helps the civilians. I will be primarily volunteering for a Swedish charity called Quartermaster For Ukraine, who deliver vehicles and combat medical kits to infantry units. I’ll be doing their media and comms to help with fundraising, and also helping with deliveries. Huge thanks again!
